Location- St Mary's Church Barnsley

 The primary filming location for our main project is St Mary's Church in Barnsley.
 This is a local church that kindly let us use their facilities in order to gt the shots we need. It's a local church not even a two minuet walk from our college and it's a great facility for us because we have been able to film here for free.
We have used it for both internal and external shots. Our external establishing shot has been used in our opening sequence. Due too it's old and dominating look it creates the feel we were going for in order to put our viewers more on edge.

St Mary's Church has enabled us to film in a realistic setting in order to increase immersion for our viewers. The stain glass and religious symbols really make the mise en scene a great aspect of our project.
The use of the church has enabled us to capture the feel that we wanted too in our film. Due to the sheer amount of religious symbols in the church we were able to demonstrate in a way the dominance religion has on Father Abraham's and Sister Judith's lives in a way we wouldn't of been able to without the use of the church.
There were many rooms available for use in our project and the lighting in the church was great enabling us to take full advantage of natural lighting. This is something I think has really worked well for our project.
